Blast Calculation Overview

Based on the client’s specification EEP carry out initial blast calculations using dynamic finite element analysis, using  ANSYS Explicit STR™  software. The ANSYS Explicit ETR program is based on the solver of the ANSYS Autodyn™ analysis program. For more complex analyses, where the charge weight and stand-off of the explosive needs to be defined, ANSYS AUTODYN can be used to derive the blast wave directly for subsequent explicit analysis. This process leads to the optimal mechanical design and material selection
